What's the point in having your own site if you can't rant on it?

Itīs widely known that I hate slow games. My clock policy on tournaments I direct is also widely known.

When I used to be the organizer of local events in my hometown, I "encouraged" clocks but never enforced them. My statement was: If you are going to step up and play international events, you better get used to it and get some practice here.

Cloks should scare newbies off but they are a great tool to make a tournament progress smoothly and not turn backgammon into chess. They add a new element to the game (time management) and turns backgammon on a higher level even more skillful.
