Why I Hate the Meyer Dice Tube

Again, I don't like the damn things at all.
However, it seems to me, that were one to be used it should have distinguishable end caps (different colors -- white for the lighter checkers and black for the darker checkers) so that it is easily discernible who rolled the dice and who has the next turn.
When A rolls after B, A would flip the tube 180 degrees setting it down on the opposite end. If A's dice are cocked he picks the tube back up, turns it 180 degrees, back and forth, and puts it back down on the same end.
Having observed some matches using the dice tube, I can see where who is on roll could be confusing (debatable?) after a long thought delay or ruling delay, etc. It would also be much easier for spectators to know who is on roll or who has a move to play.
Rolled dice being on a specific side of the board easily addresses these concerns.
