The rule opens at -3 -6 and expands out. -3 -6 is therefore the most vulnerable score for the rule not to work. Strictly speaking I think I may have switched this to -3 -7 or greater, I forget the last time I looked into this. For a position like this though you will note the huge difference between -3 -6 and -3 -7.
