There are a few different books you could get after digesting the first two on the list. Kit's The Backgammon Encyclopedia is a good choice if you want to chisel out a bunch of reference positions and understand a lot of things that I'd consider 'standard'. New Ideas in Backgammon also by Kit and Hal is a more general problem/answer book where the problems involved are highly educational. Marty's Backgammon Praxis is an excellent read also that takes you through play by play and gives you the thinking behind the plays. Any of these 3 would make a fine next book in my opinion.
