I think he would likely consider it a feature for a site to allow you to see the shuffling, and gain potential information about how the opponent might be thinking.

I consider it a feature in live play for the same reason too (and also like it in online play because it makes it feel more like live play). However, if only live play had an "undo button" that could ensure that the original position could be restored correctly at will.
