Meyer Dice Tube endorsed by Durham/Chapel Hill NC club

I direct the Durham/Chapel Hill, North Carolina Backgammon Club. I recently added the following rule for tournament play to endorse the Meyer Dice Tube:
If a baffle box or Meyer Dice Tube is available for a match and at least one of the two players wants to use it for that match, then it must be used.
Only two of our club members currently own the tube ... I'm not one of them ... , but I love the device. It speeds up play and ensures that the dice are given a good toss ... something that is NOT guaranteed by clock use alone.
I would prefer that clocks also be used, but currently I'm the only owner of a clock. They and the Meyer Dice Tube are expensive.
It's possible that I may change our Meyer Dice Tube rule, but for at least the foreseeable future, I want to give it a fair shake.
Our club's web site is: http://home.roadrunner.com/~kenlarsen/backgammonclub.htm
