Bing Crosby was part owner of the Pirates but reportedly could not stand the pressure of watching the Series in person. So, he went to Europe. Had some underling videotape the game, not sure if off tv or what. It was put in Bing's wine cellar with some other mementoes, etc. He died 25-30 years ago. In the last 12-18 months some guy was cataloging some of this inventory in the wine cellar and found the tape. It is the oldest complete game videotape in existence. There has been much written about the finding, you can Google and read quite a bit. I'm really looking forward to watching the game -- and I'm firing up the DVR.
