Thanks for the heads up on the game, Bill... I'm a pretty big baseball fan, but this one slipped past me and I wouldn't have known about it if not for your post. The TiVo is all set now.

Greatest game ever? That's an endless debate. I've got to throw out some more recent Game 7's that were pretty awesome... 1991, 1997 and 2001.

How about greatest non-World Series game ever... here's one Bill may not remember so fondly. Game 6 of the 1986 NLCS, Mets over the Astros in a 16 inning epic that the Mets absolutely had to win, because there was no chance whatsoever they were going to beat Mike Scott in Game 7.
