Rollout: I made the right play at DMP. This isn't DMP.

I did roll it out at DMP and 24/15 appeared likely to come out best. Regardless, the other contenders were all plays that broke the anchor, so it seemed less important to determine which play was really best; the stay or go answer was clear.
My belief as to why it is better at DMP is that unlike saving gammon, winning does not depend upon simply hitting a shot, but also winning the game from there. With the stay play, many of the hits will occur after the opponent has taken 14 checkers off, so while it will save gammon, it will be extremely likely to still result in a loss. Also, after running, if a checker can be hit on the next roll, there are also variations where a second or even third checker can be picked up later.
