Perhaps we can begin with a less than cordial playing environment/atmosphere -- every movement, every action will be precisely by the book. We'll roll for everything -- I just developed a preference for board, for direction, for checker color, for the dice we use, etc. Plus, every move the opponent makes with the damn tube with be precisely within the prescribed protocol or we'll be discussing it with the director, frequently. It is grasped in the middle. It is lifted 2-3 inches off the table and rotated/set within a 1 second interval. The hand is off the tube entirely before the dice settle (or approach settling). The tube is placed correctly. Without a clock, the tube is touched correctly. Further, all consideration to opponent is dismissed -- no legal moves only, no moving checkers back/forth w/o re-setting original position and no interim movements without offsetting checkers when considering optional moves.

I find it rather humorous, and someone made this point earlier. The tube is most appropriate for the dexterity challenged, who likely cannot meet the prescribed protocols for its use -- which, according to the developer, ensure 'random' rolls.
