Each end of the tube could have a butterfly valve (simply a plastic plate that could be rotated 90 degrees to either block the tube or to be parallel to the length of the tube) between the end seal and the beginning of the baffling rods. A player would then denote the completion of his turn by closing the butterfly valve immediately above the dice. The opponent would flip the tube and then open the butterfly valve to allow the dice to descend. The tube would be upright and stable before release of the dice and the hand should be removed from the tube well before the dice have fallen to the other end.
One such valve would need to be included. Player A denotes his turn is over by tapping of the tube. Player B flips the tube, engages the butterfly, flips the tube, releases the butterfly.
I'm offering all of these great ideas and I still wouldn't like the damn tube. Just give me lipped dice cups, precision dice, and let us shake, rattle, and roll.
