This thread isn't far down the list at all. By making a new thread and not posting it on the original thread people who search through old posts won't know that a rollout of the position even exists unless they get lucky and click on this one too.


And that's why I prefer to use "UBB order" in forum settings:
"the UBB Order will arrange threads by the dates of their last responses, rather than by the dates on which they were started; this guarantees that the threads with the newest messages will always be at the very top of the page"
