Bearoff with contact and cube position question

There are positions where, if you own the cube, you will aggressively bear off checkers to increase your gammon chance even though you incur a greater risk of being hit than with a safer play. You expect to be able to cube your opponent OUT if she hits you. If she owns the cube, greater caution may be appropriate.
