Interpreting the last three graphs

In Response To: Popularity of Backgammon 1920-2008 (Tom Keith)

References to "pure play" may just as well refer to some trend in early childhood education as to backgammon.

The "blitz" references that peak in the 1940s likely have more to do with the Second World War than backgammon.

The last graph "split vs. slot" may demonstrate the enduring greater popularity of banana splits over slot machines. +1!
