I agree with you stick, I think it was an interesting diversion, but doesn't necessarily mean much.

Someone asked if you could see what books contributed to a particular time frame, the answer is somewhat yes. If you go to http://ngrams.googlelabs.com and put your own query in, click "Search Lot of Books" it will generate a graph. Below the graph will be time periods (links) that you can click on. That will take you to a list of books from that time period.

In one case I noticed that a book on backgammon poetry was near the top of the list for one of the time periods.
