Like Henrik, I'm happier with DBgF's system not using the FIBS "boost." With the boost, my DBgF rating would have risen more quickly to something near its "true" value -- perhaps in one year, instead of three, or so. But that seemed to me to be more of a feature than a bug. The NBGF system does use the boost. Consequently I was once the highest rated player in Norway, having won my first 10 NBGF-rated matches (but my name never actually appeared on the list, because there was a minimum number of matches higher than 10 to be listed).

It might be interesting to run two sets of calculations, with and without, and compare.
