I would start with 20/16(2) because the race is close and we need an outfield presence. Then I am pretty sure I would play 8/4(2) OTB, making the best available 4 point board. Other plays I would look at are 20/16(2) 24/16 (moving a checker up to contest the outfield, and retaining a 4 point block, but hard to pass up making the 4 point) and 8/4(2) 6/2* 20/16 (puts opp up against a 4-point board, but leaves a position that is too strung out).

First choice 20/16(2) 8/4(2), second choice 20/16(2) 24/16, third choice 8/4(2) 6/2* 20/16. Nice problem.
