I never try to find a wrong play nor do I try to rank plays. I just try to find the best play. Therefore I won't try to guess what you played. There are so many options here, and different concepts. I hope I am getting this correct.

Anyhow, White has massive outfield control and Blue needs to fight this. Therefore, I think 20/16(2) is a must. The next two 4's then would seem to be best played 24/16 even though 8/4(2) looks good, but it seems to lack as much board control as 24/16 and may just let White's back checker escape too easily.

Attacking looks wrong as what do you cover with if you make the 4 pt, and why attack if you don't make the 4 pt?
