In Response To: Checker play AtScore (#1: 61) (6stones)

As a tip, I'd suggest that you pose the question at just one or maybe two scores. Otherwise the problem is too hard, and very few people will be brave enough to volunteer explanations for all the scores when they know they'll probably get something wrong and end up giving a justification for an incorrect play. No purely verbal explanation is going to be able to distinguish between all those scores anyway; it's going to depend on quantitative estimates of wins and gammons, which a bot is better at than a human.

You can introduce other scores for discussion after you post a rollout.

You might have noticed that Paul Weaver recently posted eight positions at once and got no responses. I think it's for similar reasons.

Having said that, I think I'd play 24/18 7/6 at 2a2a. Breaking anchor may lose more gammons but that's not a concern at DMP (which this will turn into as long as someone remembers to turn the cube). We can't hang on to the back anchor forever, and now seems like a reasonable time to get gong. 24/17 is possible but I'd like to keep the back checkers connected. 24/18 4/3* seems to create too many cleanup problems for ourselves next roll.

Some of the strange results you may be getting at other scores may be caused by the centered cube. Check to see if changing the cube location makes any difference.
