Thanks Nack. I am not very good at opening plays, and I like your comments, especially when explaining the differences between similar positions and/or plays - I feel that gains something beyond the opening play and helps my game more in general. I knew the comment was yours, but was not sure about the context. In any case, this particular one stayed with me, because I noted that I have a tendency to hit too much passing up structural improvements, so it was spot on for me personally.

I'd be surprised if the difference between the various plays is as big as you indicated. I think a full RO is probably close between K and S, with c a bit behind.

I think I'd prefer S in practice, as it seems to lead to more complex games with many checkers back, which are more fun to play.

Is this not a problem in Robertie or New Ideas BTW?!
