I don't understand the XG numbers here

This is a side effect of a process intend to avoid user confusion.
When recursing through the ply level equity can go up or down. To avoid that a move analyzed at higher level (N+1) show an equity lower than the one that do no make it through the move filter i minor the equity of low level move.
As i am sure i am not phrasing that very well let me explain what's happening here in 3-ply.
first it analyze all move in 1-ply. then it will analzye 6/4(2) 5/3(2) (top move) and 6/4 6/off (only choice within 0.160 of the top move). However XG always include the top position of each position type in the move filter. Here 6/2 4/2(2) change the position type from regular contact into a crashed (or crunched) board one. So the move make to 2-ply level filter. The same repeat in 3-ply: only the top move and the crashed pos are analyzed.
So the display should show
1. 3-ply 6/4(2) 5/3(2) +1.688
2. 3-ply 6/2 4/2(2) +0.815 (-0.873)
3. 2-ply 6/4 6/off +1.519 (-0.169)
Now what i do in these case, in order to have the move equity order I reduce move 3 (and all subsequent equity) so it fall being move 2. in that case they'll be reduced by 1.519-0.815. so the display shows
1. 3-ply 6/4(2) 5/3(2) +1.688
2. 3-ply 6/2 4/2(2) +0.815 (-0.873)
3. 2-ply 6/4 6/off +0.815 (-0.873)
Conclusion:This system is only a display issue, if you reanalyze the 6/4 6/off move the equity will display again the 1.519. As XG always analyze the move played in the same level than the analyze level it does not affect analyze result. The idea to make thing less confusing by having the lower ply move always smaller than the top ply one, backfired. I think i will remove that part in the next version, even though i know i will have quite a few email asking me why move 3 is showing a higher equity than the top 2 (not in that example)and is not listed as the best.
