I especially like the playing pieces being referred to as 'draughtsmen'.

"So what's the correct draughtsman play in this position?"

I think the USBGF should enforce the use of this most excellent noun.

draughts·man (draftsÆmÃn, dräftsÆ-), n., pl. -men. Brit.
1. a checker, as used in the game of checkers.
2. draftsman (defs. 1–4).
[1655–65; DRAUGHT + -S3 + MAN1]
