In Response To: USBGF Response Regarding Rod Covlin (Rod)

All that sounds for me like another divorce battle. Beside the honour, is there so much money to earn with the trademark backgammon? Danny Kleinman once wrote: "... In the broadest sense, most backgammon players are hustlers. For they hope to make money from the game - lots of money. Never mind that they play no better then the others in their chouette and perhaps a bit worse. The observer may not be able to tell the hustler from the hustlee; but to each participant, it is clear that he himself is the best player in his game and the others are his victims. ..." When i played chess in my youth, i don't bought books about the dragon defence to make money. And now, i do the same in backgammon: for fun. The overall hustling has to come to an end.
