In Response To: Question and suggestion to the USBGF (Phil Simborg)

Phil,

You are very very wrong. Business as usual was ongoing through the entire 2 month "issue". Committees were set up, meetings were held, membership reparation moved ahead. The board strove to remove me solely because, as Harvey explained, "this is what's done". It was because of the reputation aspect predominantly, if not entirely.

I responded to Perry's accusations regarding the URLs. The board has already acknowledged breaching its bylaws (and, remember, ignorance is no defense). Admitted illegalities and still it is I who need to prove my innocence. $5,000 to start the org, another $500 or so more on URLs and trademark (that I donated to the usbgf - did I receive a penny of compensation? No) and my character is assailed. No action of mine breached any fiduciary or other duty to the organization, ever.

The only breach was by the board. And they can't bother to right the wrong. I'd say you have what you sought. So, the boardmembers have earned good reputations playing backgammon. They haven't done so running a backgammon organization. Someone might be a great painter but it doesn't mean they're a great carpenter. I wonder if your house looks like crap or if your misjudgment only occurs in backgammon. After all, you are a, supposedly a good teacher... like Perry.
