In Response To: 65R/65 at Gammon Go (Paul Weaver)

I do not hit, because I do NOT need to preempt. If he had some blots... but he does not have blots. I split because he ecaped and is OMB (one man back) I need more of his men back. Otherwise gammon is less probable (or a win for that matter). I do not run, because he is the favorite (he ran first) and this way I don't add much blitz chances, nor make use of a front, back, BHT (blot hitting contest) muulti-way-winning (non engagement) policy. I SPLIT. I think it is most efficient.
