8, 5. we are leading in the race, so we should prefer choices that make this a racing game. 2 down strips the mid, which not crucial at this point, may become a factor in the next few sequences.

the resultant big stack on the 6 point is very ugly (tho making the 5 point was nice, that play has its cost)
