Black has overprotection on his strong points, he will make in the near future, four builders for golden- and barpoint. So coming under the gun is only an option, if there are no acceptable alternatives. Black already has stripped his midpoint. Soon he will break this point, to build on his front position. So in the near future, even a sniper on our midpoint will retain outfield control. I think, the choices are playing "safe", with 13/9 8/5, leaving fewer shots at the cost of a frontloaded and somehow brittle position and the pure D. Regarding the upcoming flow, even the stripped midpoint will be an asset. Two builders in the outfield rises dramatically the possibility to unstack the heavy midpoint in a constructive way. Sure, a hit will not be fine, but it would be not the end of the world. We can make then an advanced anchor from the bar. Black has to drive his hitter into safety, which means delay of development of his front position. After all, even if the "safe" play would come out as a little better, i would sacrify this equity, because i think, D leads for me to a better playable position.
