Out of curiosity would you try changing the WebBBS configuration option $SearchFriendlyURLs to 0 instead of 1 (I am betting it is currently 1). This should generate URL's with query strings (The ? and & after a script name).

As for directories being added to the end of a script - that is legal and use to be the norm many years ago. The script will execute, and the path info after the script name can be parsed by the script itself as parameters (This is called the Search friendly URL's). Search unfriendly URL's are those with the parameters specified as query strings (& and ? appended on the URL).

These days most search engines are smart enough to parse both. In the old days this wasn't the case.

I am betting that this change will allow relative paths to start working again. Cross fingers.
