Do you think the take/pass decision is at all close? If it is, it takes an awful lot of gammons to overcome the power of the cube at this score. When your opponent's takepoint is high (40%!) and you can give a reasonably efficient double, it's unusual to be too good, because you have a lot of losses to make up for. Particularly in a highly volatile position like this one.

This is one reason that many players miss good doubles while leading -2:-3; the trailer's high takepoint makes it behave differently from other 2-away scores.

You might find it instructive to construct a position at this score (-4:-3, owning a 2-cube) that is too good to redouble without also being a monster pass.
