Phil nailed it.

Chiva, I hope nothing I said was interpreted as "criticism". We need directors like yourself willing to take chances and try out innovative things for the improvement and growth of backgammon in the US. There will always be whiners about rakes, number of days and such. You have a different situation than other local directors and so you must do what works for you to make your event viable. I believe everyone that has posted here wants your events to be successful and are trying to offer constructive suggestions. Don't ever think your efforts and all you have done and are doing are not greatly appreciated!
