My support for Chiva's tournaments

95% of everything at this tournament was great, and the differences between what a 'standard' American BG tournament looks like and what Chiva brings to the table are NOT negatives just because they are different. I had a wonderful time even though I won nothing (and despite my one grievance about the doubles scheduling which I'm certain will be addressed correctly next time) and would come back in a heartbeat, especially to this hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. (Travel to the west coast is far more problematic for me, as it usually entails a 5th day for a 4-day tournament. I'm too old to suffer through a red-eye flight and attempt to go back to work on Monday.) The supplied equipment was outstanding, and even though I brought my own board anyway, (I basically need it as a briefcase), I'd welcome any opportunity to play on those boards again.
Keep up the good work, Chiva. If 4 days works for you, I have no problem with that at all. I reported to you what I heard some other players say about what they feel is excessive down-time, but I actually liked it. Having plenty of time for side trips to things like casinos, the beach, great restaurants, night clubs, whatever, or just taking a nap makes for a good weekend.
Hoping the SF US Open is a big success next year, and also your Golden Gate in May.
GL, I had a great time!
