Not all clocks pauses the delay and continues from the same spot when re-hit.

Some DGT clocks will restart the delay if the entire delay has not been used, but they will simply continue bank-time-countdown if the delay was used at the time of pausing.

Garde digital clocks will keep pausing if you start the other players turn, after pause (eg. Player A's time is counting down, pause is hit, next game Player B wins the opening roll, Player A start Player B's time, but it will not run. When Player B hits the clock, Player A's time will continue from where it was, before the pause - but also adding the full 12 seconds after the move, or up to the moves combined).
