Often, when you expect to have a strong cube next turn, making a play with low risks and low equity swings is correct. The reason is that you do not gain when making a pass a bigger pass, while you lose a lot if you miss your cube.
I saw your e-mail address and hope you are not affected by the attack in Moscow! It is sometimes a sad world we live in.
