I agree with slotting the 2pt. Opponent would only have a double 1 as a joker and that doesn't even seem that bad. If he rolled any other one he is risking a fair amount (IMHO) breaking the anchor. Even if you get hit the chances of getting trapped on the opponents side is low. I would also venture to guess slotting may be more gammonish since you might be able to pick up a 3rd checker AND/OR close the opponent out on the bar if the opponent DOES attempt to hit your 2pt.
