The standard play is to slot the next point in line, 8/2 9/6. That play might be wrong if there would be a significant number of non-covering and prime breaking follow up rolls, but there are non. So the only significant risk is that Black would hit and cover and win the priming battle from there. That is a very limited risk. If we do not slot now, we run risks while rolling the prime forward later.
