Now the only downside of the members only usbgf website is it's not terribly enticing for us non-us folk.

I certainly hope it succeeds but a it would be nice if there were some kind of "associate" membership. Many of us will never take advantage of your tournies yet would likely enjoy access to your collateral as it develops over time.
