Dealings with USBGF

I have had polite email exchanges with both Perry Gartner and Rich Munitz on the subject of copyright (one email exchange I initiated asking for permission to use one match from Vegas to make a commentary on the luck - although I was not in total agreement I did respect their position on that case). The fact I had enough doubts to contact them, suggests that I am not being totally anal on this matter.
I doubt any of them would disagree that in dealing with me that have made it clear that they are trying to maximize reasons for people wanting to give their organization money. That is not where my issue is.
It is Player X though that came after my discussions with Perry and Rich that really put me off, and had me believing that indeed that for the moment - The USBGF may be more interested in memberships than the actual promotion of Backgammon. I do not fault Perry or Rich, but it is what they have to say along with Player X's actions that has me very concerned.
