Do you feel the same about a live tournament that is recorded?

I say: no I don't. If you get to the money rounds of any ABT event or sizeable overseas event (not sure exactly where to draw the line there) you should expect to have your matches recorded and disseminated. Those matches, in my mind, meet the "public interest" standard. I think I posted in here about how I had no problem with GV publishing my grisly and embarrassing Midwest finals match against Julius High from Lisle a couple years ago.

But if Julius and I played a second-round match with ERs of 8.9 and 6.9 (I think that's what they were) I would see no good reason for anyone to publish it and in fact I would find it objectionable if anyone did.

Online events like that SHG tourney don't meet my standard for public interest unless they feature WC players.
