I'd play 13/5 pretty quickly, which gains relative to 13/8 13/10: giving up two extra shots in return for (1) better containment, (2) a better builder position (you have two active builders for both 4 and 2 point no matter what happens), (3) less pip-setback if hit, and (4) the fact that White doesn't always clear the back checker if he hits (as of course he does on all hits following your 13/8 13/10).

I discount 6/1 6/3 out of hand.

I don't like 8/3 8/5 (leaving only 13 shots, duplicating 4s to hit and to cover) because the resulting ugly distribution tends not to work out well even after White misses.
