Promoting backgammon - Grass Roots

In Response To: Promoting backgammon - Grass Roots (Michael Petch)

I strongly beleive in Federations as a group of local clubs united in the promotion of the game and common tournaments.

Have cheap entry fee suitable for ALL, novice, beginners, intermediates..

Social home game is OK, but real life low-cost tournaments are FUN for ALL. I speak it from expierence.

Bigger tourneys and online sites will eventually after some time get new players.

Without Federations, all backgammon is closed in certain groups and doomed on failure.
