Bring Back the Holland Rule

When I started playing the Holland Rule was common. It added little or nothing, and confused players, especially the less experienced. With all of the early game research done in the past few years, would a revived Holland rule add complexity? Probably. Which is a good reason for not using it.

The Holland Rule and the Crawford Rule, and the Jacoby Rule were all invented by hustlers looking for an edge over weaker players. The impetus was purely predatory, nothing more. That said, I think both the Jacoby and Crawford Rules added to the game. The Holland Rule didn't, and doesn't deserve revival.
