All of you report great deeds and good ideas. Bravo! This site and the site of the USBGF will set a positive example of promotion of this game for others to follow. Exchange of experience with the rest of the world is also great. Phil or Rich would say: the best performer of an idea is usually it's author. OK, but sometimes old men cannot do what they preach. Even ideas, even imperfect ideas (as in brain storming) have value. I personally believe a great player (as Mochy) needs to start as a family, then social player, pass through a competitive (non-gambling) stage where his skill and ambitions are to be noticed. In this very first stage of his development the player should be taught to consider the game as a sport and the effort he makes as investment-not gambling. Losing is just a failed investment, not the expected loss from gambling. A successful player would continue in semi-professional competitions on a national level and always consider his opponents in the best case as investment competitors, and in the worst case as gambler-donors. Rich and influential players could help a lot - they can promote the game in their own way - to help friendly law environment, to help for friendly society. If the player is still on top he can be promoted by his national fed to play international events. Multiple forms of promoting a player can be borrowed from other sports. Successful players need be publicized so that regional societies be awakened to the recognition and respect as well as PRIZE rewards gained (incl. money).
