I agree with you, Leonardo. As you know (from being on my newsletter distribution list) my Durham/Chapel Hill (North Carolina) Backgammon Club is trying to follow your advice. Our web site is http://home.roadrunner.com/~kenlarsen/backgammonclub.htm I think we've got a good formula for providing cheap fun tournament style backgammon. Attendance has been slowly climbing in our almost three years of existence. Last night we had 10 ... which we split into two tournaments based on skill level.

I invite all bgonliners to study my club's web site to get ideas on how they might start a backgammon club in their own community.
