Jake "The Holland Rule and the Crawford Rule, and the Jacoby Rule were all invented by hustlers looking for an edge over weaker players. The impetus was purely predatory, nothing more."

Neil replies..While I can agree about the Holland Rule and even the Jacoby Rule being added to make the game more complex for hustlers (and in Jacoby's case, speed up money play), I have to disagree about the Crawford Rule.

IMO, using the Crawford Rule makes more TP's closer to money play than not using Crawford. Which do you think is more complex and more importantly which do you think was more complex based upon the state of the game 40 years ago?
