Do NOT Bring Back the Holland Rule

In Response To: Bring Back the Holland Rule (Phil Simborg)

Apart from the valid points on confusion and fussiness, the Holland rule is not good one. It detracts from the possibility of an exciting comeback and serves as a discouragement to players like me who like to spot their opponent a few points. Since the better players are more likely to get to Crawford, it obviously favors those players, at least against those opponents who are smart enough to cube and play aggressively.
