I do actually think that the live streaming in an appropriate format and somehow "advertised" could be used to attract new people to the game. Material available online like the WSOB videos and the Sapporo Open finals is likely to attract *some* number of people not already playing. There is no need for silly Santa Claus analogies, I simply question whether the value you generate from adding this as a service to already existing members, or people already in the community and contemplating becoming a member, is more worth than a potential increase in membership base of the overall bg community.
