Excel 2007/Unicode/XP

Nack,

I'm unsure this will work for you. I decided to download Office 2007 Standard from Microsoft just to try this out on XP.

One thing I had to do that wasn't required on Office 2010 was to actually specify the font. On the Insert Symbol screen - on the left hand side there is a "Font" pulldown box. I had to select "Arial Unicode MS" for Font, and Subset needs to be set to "Combining Diacritical Marks". When I did this code 0331 and 0332 did appear and the process of creating underlined symbols worked as I would expect.
