I can practically taste that whopper as I look at this position. I'd play 9/5*/3. I think this will win more games, and the extra gammons lost are hopefully not too much, given our 5pt anchor. If we allow White to escape then White will probably get an efficient cube. Trailing in the race by this much, we really need to hit and we can't count on getting another opportunity later.
