Nactation + XG

I have no idea what NACCEL points are.
Naccel is a clever pip count method devised by Nack. The numbering of the pips differs from the usual ones. I took it up about a week ago having stumpled upon the series of Naccel lessons here on bgonline (Naccel post 12 containing links). Already by now, overall I can count most positions nearly in the same time as when using my usual cluster/straight-ahead count. Simultaneously, there is considerably less mental arithmetic to do, so it's also less tiring and perhaps even fun :) With more practice, I expect Naccel to be an improvement for doing my pip counting even though I am not normally a slow counter.
I have added the possibility of toggling the Naccel numbering on and off, on the board view in the client I use for my position db. It is quite useful when starting out with Naccel until the numbering is internalised.
Rather than taking silly shots at people, you should try it out and see how fast it is.
