Well, it's not obvious to me. OTB I would probably have played 7/5 3/1* regardless of cube location, to try to lock up the game by closing White out and escaping our back checkers. My guess is that this is still the right play when White owns the cube, but that with cube access we may want to avoid giving White a direct return shot so as to "protect our double" next turn. So maybe 3/1* 2/1(2) with cube access?
